BMW - Laserprojection for One Series
For the World Premiere Tour of the new BMW One Series Dienststelle was commissioned to produce an animation for a laser projection.
Johannes Gees, who did a spectacular interactive laser projection at the World Economic Forum, was asked by BMW first. He then recruited four artists with expertise in technology and laser projection for creating the content.
We created four laser DSP optimized animations:
1. Textanimation: “THE NEW BMW 1 SERIES”. Animated like a photocopier.
2. Textanimation: “ONE LIKE NO ONE”. Zooms into the seperate words.
3. A revolving model of the BMW. (3D modeling and animation by Sascha Langer).
4. Textanimation: Banner with the URL: “www.bmw.com/1series”
For a test run two extremely bright laser projectors, one with green, one with white light, have been rented. The BMW Emblem Building in front of the famous BMW 4 Cylinder Headquarter Building, the 4 Cylinder Building itself and the 1974 Munic Olympia Park were used as a canvases for the projections.
